1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick, which is usually located on the driver's side of the transmission near the front of the engine.
3. Pull the dipstick out of the transmission and wipe it clean with a rag.
4. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission until it is fully seated.
5. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
6. If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the "Full" mark. Use a funnel to avoid spilling any fluid.
7. Replace the dipstick and tighten it securely.
8. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
9. Check the fluid level again and add more fluid if necessary.
10. Replace the dipstick and tighten it securely.
Note: It is important to use the correct type of transmission fluid for your vehicle. The type of fluid required is usually listed in the owner's manual.
