Locate the OBD-II port. In the Pilot, it is usually found under the dashboard, on the driver's side.
Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
Connect an OBD-II scanner to the port.
Turn on the scanner and follow the prompts on its display.
Select the option to read and clear trouble codes.
The scanner will display any trouble codes that have been stored in the vehicle's computer.
Select the option to clear the codes.
The scanner will clear the codes and turn off the Service Engine Soon light.
Disconnect the scanner and turn off the ignition key.
Start the engine to verify that the Service Engine Soon light has been turned off.
