* Harmonic balancer puller
* 3/4-inch socket wrench
* Box wrench
* Flathead screwdriver
* Hammer
Instructions:
1. Install a harmonic balancer puller on the crankshaft.
2. Tighten the puller until the gear pops off the crankshaft.
Be careful not to damage the crankshaft or timing gear.
3. If the gear does not come off easily, you may need to use a box wrench to hold the crankshaft pulley while you turn the puller.
4. Once the gear is off, use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer to remove the woodruff key from the crankshaft.
Tips:
* Be sure to use the correct harmonic balancer puller for the size of the crankshaft.
Using the wrong puller can damage the crankshaft.
* If you cannot get the gear off the crankshaft, you may need to take the crankshaft to a machine shop to have the gear removed.
* Make sure that the timing gear is properly installed when you reinstall it.
