How do you remove spark plug from john deere lawn tractor?

To remove the spark plug on your John Deere lawn tractor, you will need the following tools:

* Socket wrench

* Spark plug wrench

* Gap gauge (optional)

Instructions

1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

2. Disconnect the spark plug wire. To do this, grasp the rubber boot around the wire and twist it counterclockwise. Pull the wire straight up to remove it.

3. Locate the spark plug. It is usually on the side or top of the engine, near the muffler.

4. Use the spark plug wrench to loosen the spark plug. Turn the wrench counterclockwise until the plug is loose.

5. Remove the spark plug. Be careful not to drop it.

6. Check the condition of the spark plug. The electrode should be clean and sharp, and the porcelain should be free of cracks or damage. The gap between the center electrode and the ground electrode should be set to the correct specifications for your engine. You can use a gap gauge to check and adjust the gap if necessary.

7. Install a new spark plug. Screw it in by hand until it is snug. Then tighten it using the spark plug wrench. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the engine.

8. Reconnect the spark plug wire. Push it down onto the spark plug until it clicks.

Your John Deere lawn tractor should now be ready to start.
