1. Turn off the water supply to the tank. This will prevent water from flowing into the tank while you are adding air.
2. Find the air inlet valve on the tank. This is usually a small valve located at the top of the tank.
3. Attach an air compressor to the air inlet valve. Be sure to use a compressor that is capable of delivering the required pressure for the tank.
4. Turn on the air compressor and allow it to fill the tank with air. The pressure gauge on the tank will indicate the current pressure.
5. When the tank is filled to the desired pressure, turn off the air compressor and disconnect it from the tank.
6. Turn on the water supply to the tank. The tank will now be pressurized and ready to use.
Here are some additional tips for adding air to a pressure tank:
* Be sure to use a dry air source. Compressed air that contains moisture can cause the tank to rust and deteriorate.
* Do not overfill the tank. This can damage the tank and cause it to rupture.
* Check the pressure regularly and add air as needed to maintain the desired pressure.
