In order to start, any modern internal combustion engine needs three elements:
- Fuel
- Air
- Adequate engine rotation or compression
The intake air compressor is involved in the production of the second element, air. Without properly produced air, the northstar engine cannot produce the perfect air/fuel mixture for combustion to occur.
