How does the fuel get into oil on a TD5?

The most common cause of fuel in the oil on a TD5 is a leaking injector. Diesel fuel can pass from the cylinder into the crankcase if the injector seal fails. Another possible cause is a cracked cylinder head, where combustion gases and diesel fuel can leak into the coolant and then into the oil galleries via the head gasket. In some cases, fuel can also enter the oil via a faulty fuel pressure regulator. If you suspect there is fuel in your oil, the best course of action is to have your vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic.
