1. Park another vehicle with a good battery close to the Vauxhall Vivaro van so that the jumper cables can reach both batteries.
2. Turn off the ignitions of both vehicles.
3. Open the bonnets of both vehicles.
4. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on both batteries. The positive terminal is usually marked with a red cover or a "+" sign, while the negative terminal is usually marked with a black cover or a "-" sign.
5. Connect one end of the red (positive) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the good battery and the other end to the positive terminal of the Vauxhall Vivaro van.
6. Connect one end of the black (negative) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the good battery and the other end to an unpainted metal surface on the engine block of the Vauxhall Vivaro van, away from the battery.
7. Start the vehicle with the good battery and let it run for a few minutes.
8. Try starting the Vauxhall Vivaro van. If it starts, let it run for a few minutes before disconnecting the jumper cables.
9. Disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order of how you connected them.
10. Close the bonnets of both vehicles.
