Where is the fuel filter on a Vauxhall corsa?

Vauxhall Corsa D (2006-2014):

- Lift up the rear seat.

- Remove the cover on the right-hand side of the boot floor.

- The fuel filter is located beneath the carpet.

Vauxhall Corsa E (2015-Present):

1. Engine Cover

- Remove the engine cover.

- On turbocharged models, push down on the center of the cover and then unclip the two front clips.

- Slide the cover partially backwards and then lift it off.

2. Disconnect the Fuel Line

- Disconnect the fuel line on the right-hand side of the engine bay.

- Slide back the collar on the fuel line fitting, this will unlatch the lock which will enable the fuel line to be unplugged.

3. Remove Fuel filter bracket

- Once the fuel line has been disconnected remove the fuel filter bracket located on the left-hand side of the engine bay.

- There are 3 bolts in total which need to be removed - 1x 8mm below and 2x 10mm from the top.

- Once the 3 bolts have been removed, remove the fuel filter bracket by sliding it backwards and lifting upwards.

4. Replace Fuel Filter**

- There is a clip on the left-hand end of the fuel filter, push this in and pull downwards to remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter bracket.

- To remove the fuel filter housing from the filter - gently prise it off at one end of the housing and then rotate it and pull off.

- Discard both the fuel filter and the housing.

- Fit the new fuel filter housing onto the fuel filter and clip in place.

- Insert the fuel filter into the bracket ensuring that the lock locates into place on the fuel outlet side.

- Attach the fuel line to the fuel filter by pushing it on and sliding the collar back to lock.

- Refit the fuel filter bracket and connect the electrical plug.

5. Bleed Fuel System

- There is no need to bleed the fuel system after changing the fuel filter on the Corsa E.

- Simply, turn on the ignition, listen and ensure that the fuel pump primes and turns off.

- Crank the engine until it starts.
