1. Park the car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the air filter housing.
4. Remove the EGR valve.
5. Remove the starter motor heat shield.
6. Remove the three nuts that hold the starter motor in place.
7. Remove the starter motor from the car.
8. Install the new starter motor.
9. Tighten the three nuts that hold the starter motor in place.
10. Reinstall the starter motor heat shield.
11. Reinstall the EGR valve.
12. Reinstall the air filter housing.
13. Reconnect the battery.
14. Test the starter motor by starting the car.
