To remove the EEC control module in a 1996 Escort Wagon, you must follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the engine air cleaner assembly.

3. Remove the left cowl panel.

4. Remove the instrument cluster bezel.

5. Remove the instrument cluster.

6. Remove the steering column lower cover.

7. Remove the EEC control module mounting bracket.

8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the EEC control module.

9. Remove the EEC control module.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
