1. Position your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. For safety, activate your parking brake.
3. Locate the fuel filler door on the rear passenger side of the vehicle and open it.
4. Remove the fuel filler cap.
5. Look into the fuel filler neck, and you will see a rubber hose with a clamp attached to it. This is the fuel supply line.
6. Use a screwdriver or pliers to loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel supply line from the fuel filler neck.
7. Gently move the fuel supply line aside.
8. Inside the fuel filler neck, you will see a black circular object with several electrical connectors attached to it. This is the fuel pump access cover.
9. Use a screwdriver or wrench to remove the screws holding the fuel pump access cover in place.
10. Carefully lift the fuel pump access cover to reveal the fuel pump inside.
Precautions:
- Fuel is flammable, so avoid any sparks or open flames near the fuel system.
- Relieve fuel system pressure before attempting to disconnect the fuel supply line.
- Make sure to have the correct tools for the job.
