To change the fuel pump:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure by turning the key to the "ON" position and back to "OFF" three times.
3. Remove the fuel filter.
4. Remove the fuel tank sending unit by removing the bolts holding it in place and lifting it out of the fuel tank.
5. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank sending unit by turning the lock ring counterclockwise and lifting the fuel pump out of the fuel tank sending unit.
6. Install the new fuel pump into the fuel tank sending unit by inserting it into the fuel tank sending unit and turning the lock ring clockwise to secure it in place.
7. Install the fuel tank sending unit into the fuel tank by lowering it into the fuel tank and securing it with the bolts.
8. Install the fuel filter.
9. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
