How much fuel does an f1 car consume?
A Formula 1 car can consume around 2 litres of fuel per racing lap, depending on the length of the lap, driving skill, engine setup, fuel usage regulations etc. They have much smaller fuel tanks compared to the cars that we use in our day-to-day lives to optimise for weight to increase acceleration and cornering grip. Some F1 races cover up to a distance of nearly 305 kilometres meaning they require multiple pit stops for refuelling and replenishing tyres. Modern Formula 1 fuel contains approximately seven percent renewable component with plans in place to reach net zero carbon by 2030.
