1. Gather your materials.
- New oil filter (Yamaha OEM or equivalent)
- New oil (10W-40 motor oil, 2.4 quarts)
- Oil drain pan
- Funnel
- Wrench
- Rags
2. Prepare the Rhino.
- Park the Rhino on a level surface.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
3. Drain the old oil.
- Use the wrench to loosen the oil drain plug.
- Allow the old oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan.
- Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
4. Remove the old oil filter.
- Use the wrench to loosen the oil filter.
- Be careful not to spill any oil.
- Discard the old oil filter.
5. Install the new oil filter.
- Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
- Screw on the new oil filter hand-tight until snug.
Do not overtighten the oil filter.
6. Add new oil.
- Use the funnel to add new oil to the Rhino.
- Add 2.4 quarts of new oil.
- Check the oil level with the dipstick.
- The oil level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
7. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- This will circulate the new oil throughout the engine.
- Check for any leaks.
8. Re-check the oil level and add more oil if necessary.
