* New oil (SAE 10W-40)
* Oil filter (Honda part number 15410-MFJ-D01)
* Oil drain pan
* Funnel
* Wrench
* Rags
Step 2: Prepare the motorcycle.
* Park the motorcycle on a level surface.
* Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Step 3: Drain the old oil.
* Place the oil drain pan under the motorcycle.
* Remove the oil drain plug (located on the bottom of the engine).
* Allow the old oil to drain completely.
Step 4: Replace the oil filter.
* Locate the oil filter (located on the right side of the engine).
* Remove the oil filter cap.
* Remove the old oil filter.
* Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
* Screw the new oil filter into place.
* Tighten the oil filter cap.
Step 5: Add new oil.
* Place the funnel in the oil fill hole (located on the top of the engine).
* Add new oil until the oil level reaches the "full" mark on the dipstick.
Step 6: Check the oil level.
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes.
* Check the oil level on the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
