Oil change 1998 Suzuki Marauder 800?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- New oil filter

- New crush washer for drain plug

- 17 mm socket wrench

- Oil drain pan

- Funnel

- 4 quarts of 10W-40 motor oil

Procedure:

1. Ensure your bike is parked on level ground.

2. Warm up your bike's engine for a few minutes. This helps to thin the oil.

3. Place your oil drain pan beneath the oil drain plug, which is located underneath the gear indicator on the left side of the bike.

4. Use the 17 mm socket wrench to loosen the oil drain plug. Be careful because the oil will be hot.

5. Allow the oil to drain completely.

6. Replace the crush washer on the drain plug.

7. Screw the drain plug back into the engine.

8. Remove the oil filter cover and replace the old oil filter with the new one.

9. Add new oil to the bike's reservoir using the funnel. Add 4 quarts of oil or until the oil level is between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the sight glass.

10. Replace the oil filter cover.

11. Start the bike and let it run for a couple minutes. Check for any leaks.

12. Turn the bike off and check the oil level again. Add oil if needed to reach the proper level.
