Tools and Materials Needed:
- New oil filter (check your owner’s manual for the correct size)
- New oil (check your owner’s manual for the correct type and amount)
- Oil drain pan
- Funnel
- Wrench
- Rags
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Warm up the engine by running it for a few minutes. This will help the oil to drain more easily.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down for a few minutes.
3. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
4. Use the wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the pan.
5. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
6. Remove the old oil filter using the wrench.
7. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
8. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug.
9. Use the funnel to add new oil to the engine.
10. Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the “full” and “add” marks on the dipstick.
11. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
12. Turn off the engine and check for any leaks.
That's it! You have successfully changed the oil in your Honda Magna.
