* Cold: 0.005 in (0.13 mm)
* Hot: 0.007 in (0.18 mm)
Exhaust Valve Clearance:
* Cold: 0.006 in (0.15 mm)
* Hot: 0.007 in (0.18 mm)
Valve Adjustment procedure:
1. Remove the seat from the fuel tank.
2. Remove the nuts and pull off the valve cover.
3. Turn the flywheel nut until the "T" mark on the flywheel aligns with the pointer on the timing case cover.
4. Check the clearance between the cam lobe and the valve stem using a feeler gauge.
5. If the clearance is incorrect, loosen the locknut on the adjusting screw and turn the screw until the correct clearance is achieved.
6. Tighten the locknut and recheck the clearance.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for the remaining valves.
8. Replace the valve cover and the seat.
