>1. Park your ATV on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down if necessary.
>2. Locate the oil drain plug at the bottom of the engine casing. Place an oil drain pan underneath it.
>3. Remove the oil drain plug to drain the oil from the engine. Allow all of the oil to drain out before proceeding.
>4. Once the oil has completely drained, replace the oil drain plug. Tighten the oil drain plug securely to prevent any leaks.
>5. Locate the oil filter cover on the side of the engine casing. It is typically cylindrical and has a black cap.
>6. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the oil filter cover. Be careful not to spill any oil.
>7. Remove the old oil filter from the cover. Inspect it for any signs of damage or wear.
>8. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter. This will help to create a seal and prevent any leaks.
>9. Screw the new oil filter into the cover. Hand-tighten the oil filter until it is snug, then tighten it an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn with a wrench.
>10. Replace the oil filter cover and tighten it securely.
>11. Start the engine and run it for a few minutes to circulate the new oil throughout the engine.
>12. Check the oil filter and the oil drain plug for any signs of leaks.
>13. If there are no leaks, enjoy your ride!
