2. Follow the spark plug wire to the spark plug. The spark plug is a small, metal cylinder with a ceramic insulator at the top. It is usually located in the cylinder head.
3. Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. To do this, simply pull on the connector at the end of the wire.
4. Use a spark plug wrench to loosen the spark plug. Turn the wrench counterclockwise until the spark plug is loose.
5. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head. Be careful not to drop the spark plug.
6. Inspect the spark plug. The spark plug should be clean and free of deposits. The electrodes should be sharp and not worn down.
7. Replace the spark plug if necessary. If the spark plug is dirty or damaged, replace it with a new spark plug.
8. Reinstall the spark plug wire. Push the connector on the end of the wire onto the spark plug until it clicks into place.
9. Start the engine. The engine should start and run smoothly.
