[Image of a wiring diagram for a rear engine Snapper lawnmower]
Components:
- Battery
- Starter solenoid
- Ignition switch
- Spark plug
- Ground
Connections:
1. Connect the positive terminal of the battery to the starter solenoid.
2. Connect the negative terminal of the battery to the ground.
3. Connect the ignition switch to the starter solenoid.
4. Connect the spark plug to the ignition coil.
Operation:
When you turn on the ignition switch, the starter solenoid will engage the starter motor, which will turn the engine over. Once the engine is running, the ignition coil will generate a spark that will ignite the fuel in the cylinder. The exhaust from the engine will then be expelled through the exhaust port.
Troubleshooting:
If the lawnmower is not starting, check the following:
- Make sure that the battery is properly connected.
- Make sure that the ignition switch is turned on.
- Make sure that the spark plug is properly connected.
- Make sure that the fuel tank is full.
If the lawnmower is still not starting, you may need to take it to a qualified repair technician.
