Why wont W124 230 E Heater blower work?

1. Blown Fuse.

- Check the fuse responsible for the heater blower motor on the vehicles fuse panel. Replace it if necessary.

2. Faulty Blower Motor Resistor.

- The blower motor resistor regulates the speed of the blower motor. If it's faulty, it can prevent the blower from working at all.

3. Defective Heater blower Switch / Heater control unit.

- This switch or control unit regulates the speed and direction of the air from the blower motor. A problem with this component can prevent the blower motor from receiving power.

4. Faulty wiring.

- Check the wires connected to the blower motor and blower motor resistor for any damage or corrosion. Repair or replace any faulty wiring as needed.

5. Blower Motor Problem.

- If all the above components check out okay, the problem may lie with the blower motor itself. It could have burned out or have other internal issues. In this case, you may need to replace the blower motor.
