* Loosen the hose clamp that connects the air intake tube to the throttle body.
* Disconnect the electrical connector from the air flow sensor.
* Remove the four bolts that hold the air cleaner assembly in place, and then lift it off the engine.
2. Locate the starter motor.
* The starter motor is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a solenoid attached to it.
3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter motor.
* There are two electrical connections on the starter motor: a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The positive terminal is connected to the battery with a heavy-duty cable. The negative terminal is connected to the engine block with a ground wire.
* Use a wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the electrical connections in place, and then disconnect the cables.
4. Remove the starter motor mounting bolts.
* There are two bolts that hold the starter motor in place. They are located on the back of the starter motor, near the top.
* Use a wrench to loosen the bolts, and then remove them.
5. Remove the starter motor.
* Once the bolts are removed, the starter motor will come loose. Use your hand to rotate it counterclockwise until it is free of the bellhousing.
* Then, lift it out of the engine compartment.
