1. Open the hood of your car and locate the battery.
2. Using a wrench, loosen the nut on the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the negative battery cable from the terminal.
Wait 30 minutes
This will allow time for the car's computer to reset itself.
Reconnect the battery terminal
1. Place the negative battery cable back onto the terminal.
2. Tighten the nut on the negative battery terminal.
Start your car
The check engine light should be reset.
