1. Park your car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Crawl underneath the vehicle and locate the oil pan. It is a metal pan located under the engine.
3. The oil drain plug is located on the bottom of the oil pan. It is typically a 17 mm bolt.
4. Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
5. Use a wrench to loosen the oil drain plug. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the oil pan.
6. Allow the oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan.
7. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
