1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent any accidental electrical shocks from occurring while you work.
2. Locate the starter. The starter is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the bottom. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with two electrical connections.
3. Remove the electrical connections. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts holding the electrical connections to the starter. Be careful not to drop these nuts.
4. Remove the starter bolts. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts holding the starter to the engine. There are two bolts on the top of the starter and one on the bottom.
5. Remove the starter. Once the bolts are removed, you can remove the starter by lifting it straight up. Be careful not to drop the starter.
6. Installation is the reverse of removal.
