- Replacement fog lamp unit
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver
- 10 mm socket wrench
- 13 mm socket wrench
- Extension bar
- Flashlight
Instructions:
1. Park your Astra on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Locate the fog lamp unit that you need to change. It is located in the front bumper, on either side of the vehicle.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the cover of the fog lamp housing.
4. Use a 10 mm socket wrench to remove the two screws that hold the fog lamp unit in place.
5. Pull the fog lamp unit out of the housing. Be careful not to drop the unit.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the fog lamp unit.
7. Install the new fog lamp unit by reversing the steps above.
8. Test the fog lamp unit to make sure that it is working properly.
Tips:
- If you are having difficulty removing the screws that hold the fog lamp unit in place, you can use a 13 mm socket wrench with an extension bar.
- Be careful not to drop the fog lamp unit when you are removing it from the housing.
- If you are uncomfortable performing this task yourself, you can take your Astra to a qualified mechanic.
