To remove the gearbox from a Renault Megane 1.6, you will need the following tools and materials:

Instructions:

7. Remove the mount bolts. Use a wrench to remove the bolts that hold the gearbox to the engine.

8. Lower the gearbox. Use a jack to lower the gearbox until you can remove it from the vehicle.

9. Replace the gasket. Clean the mating surfaces of the gearbox and the engine. Apply a new gasket to the gearbox and install it.

10. Reinstall the gearbox. Use the jack to raise the gearbox back into position. Install the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.

11. Reinstall the driveshafts. Insert the driveshafts into the gearbox and secure them with the bolts.

12. Reinstall the clutch slave cylinder. Connect the hydraulic line and install the slave cylinder. Install the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.

13. Reinstall the starter motor. Connect the electrical connector and install the starter motor. Install the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.

14. Refill the gearbox oil. Add the specified amount of gearbox oil to the gearbox.

15. Lower the vehicle. Use a jack to lower the vehicle until it is resting on the ground.
