How do you remove the steering wheel from a citroen c1?

To remove the steering wheel from a Citroen C1, you will need the following tools:

- A T30 Torx screwdriver

- A flat-head screwdriver

- A 16mm socket wrench

- A breaker bar

- A rubber mallet

1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any accidental airbags from deploying while you are working.

2. Remove the two T30 Torx screws that hold the airbag module in place.

3. Disconnect the orange airbag connector and carefully set the airbag module aside.

4. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry off the plastic covers from the steering wheel mounting bolts.

5. Remove the four 16mm steering wheel mounting bolts using the socket wrench and breaker bar.

6. Gently tap the steering wheel with the rubber mallet to loosen it from the steering shaft.

7. With the rubber mallet gently hit your fist repeatedly to separate the wheel until it’s completely loose

8. Once the wheel is loose. You can pull it towards you while turning it left and right until it breaks free!

To reinstall the steering wheel,

Reverse the steps you took to remove it!
