1. Make sure the ignition is turned off.
2. Locate the OBD-II port under the dashboard, usually on the driver's side.
3. Connect an OBD-II scanner to the port.
4. Turn on the ignition, but don't start the engine.
5. Navigate to the "Trouble Codes" or "Diagnostic Trouble Codes" menu on the scanner.
6. Select the option to "Clear Trouble Codes" or "Reset ECU."
7. The scanner will clear all stored trouble codes, including the Engine Check Light.
8. Turn off the ignition and remove the scanner.
9. Start the engine to verify that the Engine Check Light is no longer illuminated.
Note: If the Engine Check Light comes back on after resetting, there may be an underlying issue with your vehicle that requires further diagnosis. It's recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to determine the cause of the light and make any necessary repairs.
