How do you change fuel pump on VW golf gti?

Tools and Materials:

- New fuel pump

- Fuel line wrench

- Flathead screwdriver

- Pliers

- Safety goggles

- Gloves

Instructions:

1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down completely.

2. Locate the fuel pump access hatch in the trunk of your vehicle. It is usually located under a small cover near the fuel filler neck.

3. Open the fuel pump access hatch and remove the cover. Be careful not to spill any fuel.

4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump. Use a fuel line wrench to loosen the nuts and bolts that hold the lines in place.

5. Remove the fuel pump mounting bolts. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the bolts loose.

6. Lift the fuel pump out of the fuel tank. Be careful not to spill any fuel.

7. Install the new fuel pump. Place the new fuel pump into the fuel tank and secure it with the mounting bolts.

8. Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel pump. Tighten the nuts and bolts until they are snug.

9. Close the fuel pump access hatch and replace the cover.

10. Start your vehicle and check for leaks. If you see any leaks, tighten the fuel line connections until the leaks stop.
