1. Park the tractor on a level surface and allow the engine to cool down.
2. Open the hood of the tractor.
3. Locate the engine oil dipstick, which is usually marked with a bright colored handle or cap.
4. Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a rag.
5. Reinsert the dipstick all the way into the oil dipstick tube.
6. Pull the dipstick out again and check the oil level. The oil should be between the “FULL” and “ADD” marks on the dipstick. If the oil level is low, add enough oil to bring it up to the “FULL” mark.
7. Reinsert the dipstick into the oil dipstick tube.
Note: If you are checking the oil level immediately after running the tractor, the oil level may be higher than usual due to the expansion of the oil. In this case, allow the tractor to cool down for a few minutes before checking the oil level again.
It is also recommended to refer to the operator’s manual for your specific Ford 4610 tractor model for any additional instructions on checking the oil level.
