2. Disconnect the cable from the governor. Be careful not to lose the small spring that is inside the cable.
3. Turn the governor counterclockwise until it stops. This will reset the governor to its original setting.
4. Reconnect the cable to the governor. Make sure that the spring is in place before you tighten the cable.
5. Start the engine and check the speed. The engine should now idle at the correct speed.
