How do you change the starter on a Isuzu truck?

Tools and Materials:

- Replacement starter

- Socket set

- Wrench set

- Jack and jack stands

- Safety glasses

- Gloves

- Flashlight

Procedure:

1. Park your truck on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

2. Locate the starter. The starter is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the bottom. It is a cylindrical-shaped component with two terminals.

3. Disconnect the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery using a wrench. This will prevent any accidental electrical shocks while you are working.

4. Jack up the truck and place it on jack stands. This will give you enough room to work underneath the truck.

5. Remove the starter bolts. There are two bolts that hold the starter in place. Use a wrench to loosen and remove these bolts.

6. Remove the starter wires. There are two wires that connect to the starter. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nuts that hold these wires in place.

7. Remove the starter. Once the bolts and wires are removed, you can remove the starter from the engine. Be careful not to drop the starter.

8. Install the new starter. Place the new starter in position and insert the bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.

9. Reconnect the starter wires. Connect the positive wire to the positive terminal on the starter and the negative wire to the negative terminal. Tighten the nuts that hold the wires in place.

10. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

11. Lower the truck off the jack stands.

12. Test the starter. Start the engine and make sure that the starter is working properly.
