* Inlet valve: 0.015 inches (0.38 mm)
* Exhaust valve: 0.015 inches (0.38 mm)
These clearances should be checked and adjusted every 1,000 hours of operation, or more frequently if the engine is operated in dusty or dirty conditions.
To adjust the valve clearances, you will need the following tools:
* Feeler gauge
* Socket wrench
* Screwdriver
1. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to warm it up.
2. Stop the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Remove the valve covers.
4. Use the feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the valve stem and the rocker arm.
5. If the clearance is not within the specified range, use the socket wrench to loosen the locknut on the rocker arm.
6. Use the screwdriver to turn the adjusting screw until the clearance is within the specified range.
7. Tighten the locknut.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for the remaining valves.
9. Replace the valve covers.
10. Start the engine and check for proper operation.
