2. Look for a small, round or oval-shaped device with a metal tube attached to it. This is the EGR valve.
3. The EGR valve may be covered with a heat shield, which will need to be removed in order to access the valve.
4. Once the heat shield is removed, you will be able to see the EGR valve. It is typically held in place by two or three bolts.
5. Remove the bolts and carefully remove the EGR valve from the engine.
