Brake fluid and oil are two entirely different types of fluids with completely different functions. Brake fluid is used in hydraulic brake systems to transmit force from the brake pedal to the brake pads or shoes, while oil is used to lubricate the moving parts of an internal combustion engine. Adding brake fluid to your oil tank could damage the engine and cause it to seize.
