- Air in the fuel lines. To fix this, you either crank the engine repeatedly until the engine starts or use an air bleeding tool to pull the air out of the fuel line.
- Clogged fuel filter: When air is introduced into the fuel lines, the fuel filter can become clogged. This will prevent fuel from reaching the engine.
- Cranking too many times without starting: If the car is cranked repeatedly without starting, the starter solenoid can become hot. This will cause the starter to not engage.
- Faulty fuel pump.
