1. Open the hood of your 2000 Lincoln LS V8.
2. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the back of the engine. The dipstick has a yellow handle and is labeled "Transmission Fluid."
3. Pull the dipstick out of the transmission and wipe it clean with a rag.
4. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission until it is fully seated.
5. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
6. If the fluid level is low, add transmission fluid until the level reaches the "Full" mark.
7. Reinsert the dipstick and close the hood of your 2000 Lincoln LS V8.
