1. Disconnect the power source. Make sure the air compressor is unplugged and the pressure relief valve is open before you begin working.
2. Remove the air filter cover. The air filter cover is typically held in place by two screws. Remove the screws and lift off the cover.
3. Remove the old belt. The old belt is located around the motor and the pump pulley. To remove the old belt, use a wrench to loosen the tensioning bolt. Once the tension is released, you can lift the old belt off the pulleys.
4. Install the new belt. Place the new belt around the motor and pump pulleys. Make sure the belt is properly seated in the pulley grooves.
5. Tighten the tensioning bolt. Use a wrench to tighten the tensioning bolt until the new belt is snug.
6. Replace the air filter cover. Reattach the air filter cover to the air compressor using the two screws you removed earlier.
7. Reconnect the power source. Plug in the air compressor and turn it on. Check to make sure the new belt is properly seated and running smoothly.
