1. Open the hood of the 2005 BMW 320i.
2. Locate the oil cap. It is usually located on the top of the engine, towards the front of the car. It has orange letters "OIL" printed on it.
3. Remove the oil cap.
4. Look inside the oil filler hole. The oil dipstick is located in the oil filler hole.
5. Grasp the dipstick and pull it out.
6. Wipe the dipstick clean with a paper towel.
7. Reinsert the dipstick into the oil filler hole until it is fully seated.
8. Pull the dipstick out again and check the oil level. The oil level should be between the "Min" and "Max" marks on the dipstick.
