1. Locate the hood release lever. It is located inside the vehicle, on the driver's side footwell. It is a black plastic lever with a red pull tab.
2. Pull the hood release lever. This will release the hood latch.
3. Go to the front of the vehicle and lift the hood. It will be held up by two gas struts.
To close the hood:
1. Lower the hood until it is almost closed.
2. Press down on the hood until it clicks into place.
Here are some additional tips for opening the hood of a Sprinter:
* If the hood is frozen shut, you can use a de-icer to melt the ice.
* If the hood release lever is broken, you can use a screwdriver to manually release the hood latch.
* Be careful not to drop the hood on your head when closing it.
