Items Needed
* New temperature sending unit
* Socket wrench set
* Adjustable wrench
* Sealant
* Rags
* Safety glasses
Instruction:
1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
Allow it to cool down completely before proceeding.
2. Locate the temperature sending unit.
It is usually on the engine block, near the thermostat housing. Identify it by following the wire from the temperature gauge.
3. Place a rag under the sending unit to catch any coolant that may spill.
4. Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the sending unit.
Be careful not to drop it into the engine compartment.
5. Apply a small amount of sealant to the threads of the new sending unit.
This will help to prevent leaks.
6. Screw in the new sending unit by hand until it is snug.
7. Use a wrench to tighten the sending unit until it is secure. Do not overtighten.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, you are finished.

1. Be careful not to damage the sending unit when removing or installing it.
2. If you spill any coolant, be sure to clean it up immediately to avoid any damage to your vehicle's paint.
