1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Do this by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine. Let it run until it stalls out. This will depressurize the fuel system.
2. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical sparks that could ignite fuel vapors.
3. Locate the fuel pump. The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you will need to remove the fuel tank.
