The 2WD tailshaft housing is shorter than the 4x4 tailshaft housing, so you will need to add a spacer between the transmission and the tailshaft housing. The spacer can be made from a piece of steel or aluminum tubing.
You will also need to change the transmission output shaft. The 2WD output shaft is shorter than the 4x4 output shaft, so you will need to install a longer output shaft. The longer output shaft can be purchased from a transmission parts supplier.
Once you have made these modifications, you will be able to use the 2WD tailshaft housing on the 4x4 350 transmission.
