- Make sure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels before raising the vehicle.
- Raise the front of the vehicle until the wheels are off the ground.
- Place a jack stand under the frame on each side of the vehicle, near the front axle.
- Lower the vehicle until it is resting on the jack stands.
- Remove the lug nuts and wheels from the front wheels.
- Use a 36mm socket to loosen the front axle nut.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten the front axle nut to the recommended torque.
- Replace the wheels and lug nuts.
- Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
