The shift solenoid on a 2000 Dodge Stratus 2.4L is located on the passenger side of the transmission, near the top. It is a small, cylindrical-shaped component with a wire connector attached to it.

- 10mm socket wrench
- Ratchet
- Extension
- Flashlight
- Safety glasses
Instructions:
1. Open the hood and locate the transmission. It is located at the front of the engine, and is the largest component in the engine compartment.
2. Find the shift solenoid. It is located on the passenger side of the transmission, near the top. It is a small, cylindrical-shaped component with a wire connector attached to it.
3. Disconnect the wire connector from the shift solenoid.
4. Use a 10mm socket wrench and ratchet to loosen the bolts holding the shift solenoid in place.
5. Remove the shift solenoid from the transmission.
6. Inspect the shift solenoid for damage. If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the shift solenoid in the reverse order that you removed it.
8. Connect the wire connector to the shift solenoid.
