1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Pliers
- Zip ties
- New window regulator cable (if needed)
2. Prepare the door panel.
- Roll the window down as far as it will go.
- Remove the two Phillips head screws at the bottom of the door panel.
- Pry up the door panel starting at the bottom.
- Disconnect the power window switch connector.
- Remove the two 10mm bolts holding the window regulator in place.
- Carefully lift the window regulator out of the door.
3. Inspect the window regulator cable.
- Check the cable for fraying or damage.
- If the cable is damaged, you will need to replace it.
4. Reattach the window regulator cable.
- If the cable is not damaged, you can simply reattach it to the window regulator.
- Hook the cable around the gear on the window regulator motor.
5. Test the window regulator.
- Connect the power window switch connector.
- Roll the window up and down to make sure it is working properly.
6. Reinstall the door panel.
- Reverse the steps you took to remove the door panel.
Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:
- If the window regulator motor is not working, you may need to replace it.
- If the window is stuck in the up position, you can try to manually roll it down by turning the gear on the window regulator motor with a flathead screwdriver or pair of pliers.
- If the window is stuck in the down position, you can try to manually roll it up by pulling on the cable with a pair of pliers.
