1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely before proceeding.
2. Locate the fuel tank. The fuel tank is located under the rear of the vehicle.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap. This will relieve the pressure in the fuel tank and make it easier to remove the plate.
4. Locate the fuel tank access plate. The access plate is located on the top of the fuel tank. It is usually held in place by a few screws.
5. Remove the screws that hold the access plate in place. Be careful not to drop the screws into the fuel tank.
6. Lift the access plate off of the fuel tank.
7. You can now access the fuel pump. The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. It is held in place by a few bolts.
8. Remove the bolts that hold the fuel pump in place. Be careful not to drop the bolts into the fuel tank.
9. Lift the fuel pump out of the fuel tank.
10. Replace the fuel pump with a new one.
11. Replace the bolts that hold the fuel pump in place. Tighten the bolts securely.
12. Replace the access plate on the fuel tank.
13. Replace the screws that hold the access plate in place. Tighten the screws securely.
14. Replace the fuel filler cap.
15. Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, you have successfully replaced the fuel pump.
